Base Ingredients
  • 2 bananas Banana peeled, sliced (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 cups Plain kefir unsweetened, low‑fat, high‑protein, yogurt‑style
  • 3 tablespoons Caramel syrup homemade or store‑bought
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract adds warm sweetness
Optional Ingredients
  • 2 pieces Medjool dates –
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground turmeric powder
  • 1 scoop Collagen powder
  • 1 scoop Vanilla protein powder
  • ½ cup Crushed ice
  • 2 tablespoons Coconut cream –
  • 1 tablespoon Shredded coconut
  • 1 tablespoon Sliced almonds

Method
 

  1. Prep fruit: Peel, slice, and cut 2 bananas into chunks. For a thicker texture, freeze banana slices in a zip‑top freezer bag ahead of time.
  2. Measure & add: In the blender, combine bananas, 2 cups of plain kefir, 3 tablespoons caramel syrup, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. If using dates or turmeric, add them now.
  3. Blend: low → high: Start in “blend” mode on low speed to process large chunks, then ramp up to high until completely smooth and creamy, about 30–45 seconds.
  4. Check consistency: If it’s too thin, add a little crushed ice or extra banana. If too thick, pour in a splash more kefir or fat‑free milk.
  5. Pour & garnish: Immediately pour into glasses. Top with shredded coconut or sliced almonds for a delightful crunch.
